CARA Facility

In 1974, the CARA complex consisted of one Little League field, Rivelli, and an adjacent field used for Farm League play.

In recent years the following fields have been added:

  • Linscott Field is a regulation size Little league field with dugouts, press box, concession area, fencing, lights, practice area for T-ball, and parking;
  • Minuteman Field is a large softball field with dimensions allowing any type of softball from youth to adult playing with fencing, lights, dugouts, press box, concession area, storage, and parking;
  • McGuire Field is a regulation size baseball field with fencing, dugouts, press box, concession area, storage, bleachers, and parking;
  • Morton Field is a large multi-purpose field for baseball and girls' soccer with fencing, dugouts, press box, bleachers for 1800 spectators, and parking;
  • The CARA Youth Memorial Field is a large multi-purpose field with fencing, two softball fields with dugouts and a large common area used for soccer, lacrosse, and football;
  • The Kennebec Valley Horseshoe Pitcher's complex, also known as the Hewitt-Brisbee Courts, is a fenced professional horseshoe area with twenty courts, paved walkways, cement paths, storage, concession area, lights, picnic area, bleachers, and parking;
  • The Capitol Area Soccer Club Fields are presently under construction. It is the largest single project in CARA's history and will comprise of three regulation soccer fields. Completion of these fields is scheduled for the fall of 2000. This complex will include fencing, parking, irrigation, lighting, concession area, storage, and bleachers; and
  • The Patriot Field, constructed in 2002, is a first-class softball field, completely enclosed by fencing.
